New chapter adventure children’s book dedicated to the memory of 9/11

Rockford, IL (PRWEB) August 31, 2004 - A new childrens book by Max Elliot Anderson is dedicated to the memory of 9/11. Mountain Cabin Mystery, a chapter adventure book for readers 8 and up, shows how three boys foil a terrorist plot aimed at the city of Denver, Colorado.

Americans have been asked by the Office of Homeland Security to be on the alert for things that dont look right. The three main characters in Mountain Cabin Mystery begin their adventure as part of an organized hike in the Rocky Mountains. They become separated from their group in a mountain fog. Thats when the adventure truly begins.

The boys survive a bear attack, a crumbling suspension bridge over a bottomless gorge, and a night alone in the cold, rainy dark. By morning they believe the worst is over. Thats when they see smoke coming from the chimney of an abandoned cabin.

Reviewers have said of Mountain Cabin Mystery:

This book has everything; dense fog, an angry, menacing bear, a dangerous decrepit suspension bridge, the fear of being lost, terrorists, and oh, boy, are the folks going to be upset! Beverly Rowe

If you are up for an adventure, this is the book to read. Kelly Ross

Max Elliot Andersons books are destined to become classics along with such greats as Tom Sawyer, The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I dont want to give away Andersons action-packed, riveting plot, but I promise, you will not be able to put down the book until the final page. Beverly Scott

A younger reviewer, Jason McDonald, reported, The minute I started reading this book, I couldnt put it down until the very last page. I felt as if I was right there, running from bears, crossing rickety old suspension bridges, and hiding from a band of desperate criminals.

A subplot in Mountain Cabin Mystery shows how looking after the environment is something natural for all of us, even children. Humor is widely used along with danger and heart-pounding action.

Mountain Cabin Mystery joins a growing list of chapter adventure books by Max Elliot Anderson including Newspaper Caper, Terror at Wolf Lake, North Woods Poachers, and Big Rig Rustlers. By January, 2005, The Secret of Abbotts Cave, Legend of the White Wolf, and Reckless Runaway will also be published.

Mr. Anderson has written thirty manuscripts for his Tweener Adventure Series. Unlike many other series, each book takes place in a different part of the country with different characters, setting, and plot. Mr. Anderson's books have been compared to Tom Sawyer, The Hardy Boys, Huck Finn, Nancy Drew, Harry Potter, Tom Swift, Star Wars, and Scooby-Doo.

As America observes 9/11 once again, Mountain Cabin Mystery helps kids who might feel powerless, by providing an exciting story where three ordinary, twelve-year-old boys get the best of a terrorist cell and save Denver. The book is dedicated to the memory of 9/11.
