NY Times Best-Selling Author Christopher Moore's Book, 'The Stupidest Angel', To Be Produced by Stan Spry with Creanspeak Productions

Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2008 -- Sought after producer and talent manager Stan Spry is now an integral part of Creanspeak's management team, announced Kelly Crean, CEO of Creanspeak Productions ('Black Irish). Spry joins Creanspeaks' talent management division, In Season Management, as a partner and Spry is concurrently launching Remember Dreaming Productions that has a non-exclusive, co-production deal with Creanspeak.

As a former partner at Artist International with nearly a decade in the entertainment industry, Spry has served as the creator, representative, and motivating force behind a bevy of talented artists: Gemini-winning and Emmy-nominated writers; Emmy-nominated and NAACP Image Award-winning directors; high-level film and television producers; Emmy-nominated comedians; established and emerging film, television and commercial actors; Grammy-winning musicians; top-tier feature film screenwriters, and successful television hosts. "He could not have a more fitting last name," said Kelly Crean. "He's young, knows the business like the back of his hand, and really takes care of his clients- he's a genuinely good guy who lives and breathes his work."

Prior to serving for almost two years as a partner at Artist International, a production and management subsidiary of Hollywood Studios International, Spry worked as an agent for Dytman & Associates Talent and Literary Agency, after a successful tenure with Andrea Simon Entertainment where he was a manager and Vice-President of production and development.

Spry has worn many hats in the entertainment industry, beginning his career as the assistant director and production assistant on films such as 'Spiderman,' 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,' and 'The Rundown;' followed by his tenure as the development associate for Twentieth Century Fox's Optional Pictures, the Production company responsible for such feature films as 'Flight of the Phoenix,' and 'Behind Enemy Lines.' Spry also had his hand in the set-up, packaging, and selling of movies and television shows to MTV, CBS Paramount, Universal, HBO, Cartoon Network, VH1, Twentieth Century Fox, and Disney, to name a few.

Spry is currently executive producing 'Circle of Stones', a feature film that will be distributed by Yari Film Group Releasing. His other film offerings include 'Date from Hell', starring Jennifer Love Hewitt; the feature film 'The Stupidest Angel',based on NY Times best-selling author Christopher Moore's novel, amongst scores of other feature film projects.

In the television arena, Spry has licensed and is executive producing a US version of the long-running UK reality show 'A Place in the Sun,' and the transatlantic, environmentally-driven series 'Club 4 Climate,' a collaboration with Creanspeak Productions, and Lord Christopher Macklin's Duke Productions. Spry also has licensed the rights to over fifty other non-scripted formats. Spry's longtime associate, Jason Gold, joins him at In Season as junior manager and at Remember Dreaming as creative executive.

"Spry, a master at creating multi-faceted threads that craft a thriving artistic tapestry will have his signature stamp on many successful projects in the years to come at Creanspeak," said Kelly Crean.
