About the Author

Brent Sawyer was born in Portland, Oregon. He and his mother soon moved away when he was only two, to live with his grandfather in a small town in southwest Kansas. His mother remarried and they moved numerous times through the southwestern states, ending up in Dallas his fourth grade year. His stepfather received an assignment with his company to setup seismograph equipment in Norway for the next two years. The family soon followed and lived in Lillehammer, Norway. His mother taught him the fifth grade via a school correspondence course. He lived with a Norwegian family and attended an American school in Oslo, Norway for his sixth grade year.

On returning to the states, his family settled in southern Illinois near his stepfather's parents, where he attended junior high and high school in Bridgeport, Illinois. He volunteered for duty for four years in the United States Air Force spending most of his tour in Austin, Texas. He transferred his college credits and graduated from Arizona State University, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and Broadcasting, with a minor in business. He has always had a love for writing. With several starts and stops on various stories through the years, he has completed his current novel Into the Midnight Sun.

Brent lives with his wife and two children in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Three Welsh Corgis add additional excitement to their home.
