Can He Stop the Rising Darkness, Or Will It Consume Him? -- New Book
Denver, CO and Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) September 11, 2007 -- Outskirts Press is pleased to announce the publication of A Case for Vengeance, a new novel by Pennsylvania author Joseph Brennan.
Since the events of 9/11, the name "al-Qaeda" has become synonymous with terror. The objective of this international guerrilla militant organization seems to be the elimination of foreign influence in Muslim countries, the elimination of Israel, and the eradication and destruction of the U.S. and other countries filled with "infidels." Yet the issues surrounding al-Qaeda and our own "War on Terror" are much more complicated than this simple black-and-white depiction. And, despite the daily news coverage, few of us actually expect to encounter al-Qaeda in our daily lives.
A Case for Vengeance is the story of Evan Moore, a young American tourist who innocently snaps a photograph that will catapult him headlong into an al-Qaeda plot so diabolical, it will change the world forever:
As the two suited men passed, he aimed his camera at them, said "Smile," and took their picture. One of the two saw Moore and his camera, knowing that he had photographed them. The two rushed past, disappeared into the crowd. Moore didn't realize whose picture he had taken. Of all the people in Rome, of all the thousands of people, Moore had to choose these two, these men who weren't even Italian. They were Saudi. And both were chasing the same man. Soon they would be chasing Evan Moore?
Driven by a lust for revenge for those who took the life of his lover, Moore embarks on a journey that will take him from the back alleys of Rome to an ancient monastery buried deep within a cave in Greece to the largest terrorist training camp ever to exist. Along the way, he will discover that sometimes, even the enemy has a good case for vengeance.
A Case for Vengeance is an exciting and insightful contemporary thriller that will keep you reading well into the night.

New searing non-fiction sets forth a blistering indictment and a call for the liberation of Black women
Black Women Deserve Better is a rallying cry to Black women everywhere who are simply fed up with the status quo of today's Black men--"men-children" who engage in disrespectful, irresponsible behavior, treating Black women as if they are worthless while also taking advantage of them. As author CW points out, Black women are caught in a no-win situation, damned if they accept a subservient role and damned if they appear too independent or strong.
