Small Publisher Makes a Big Splash at Book Expo America in New York

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 19, 2007 -- Independent publisher, Green Olive Tree, was all but overwhelmed by the massive publishing industry event, Book Expo America (BEA) 2007. The company attended BEA this year to gain exposure for its current title "Mama Peavy says, 'Women, It's OK to Marry an Ugly Man' -5 Good Reasons Why It's OK" by Mary R. Butler. The book will be released June 19, 2007.

To prepare for the event, Nicole Davis (Director of Operations) says she knew that the company needed a presence at such a large event. Thus, she set out to create a wedding event at Book Exp America. To say the least, she pulled it off.

The company's booth was decorated like a wedding reception with a white aisle runner, decorative chairs and table, red and white roses and a beautifully decorated faux white wedding cake. Attendees that visited the booth were greeted with warm smiles and handed guest/wedding favors for joining the "wedding event." The guest favors were two-by-three inch silver picture frames and three inch champagne bottles filled with bubbles. The press kits were boxes wrapped in metallic silver paper to resemble wedding gifts. The company gave away more than 400 autographed advanced reading copies and thousands of postcards. The company is glad to have attended the event and hopes to reconnect with the many people that visited the booth and to meet all others.
