Atlanta Author's Summer Book Tour Launch Deemed a Success

Acworth, GA (PRWEB) June 11, 2007 -- Atlanta native, Darlene F. Wofford, author of "Edgewise: An Assignment to Remember", launched her summer book tour this afternoon at Walden Books in Towne Center Mall, Kennesaw, Georgia. The author has appeared at other book-signing affairs however this was her first event as a featured author for a bookstore. When asked if it was a good experience, she eagerly responded, "It was a blast! I was only there a little less than two hours but I met so many wonderful people and the sales went well, too. I've lived in that general area over 35 years, so I wasn't surprised to see several people I know, so of course that made the good day even better. My husband and I were expected at another engagement or I would have stayed longer, but I'm really looking forward to next week at North Point."

The next stop on the author's tour is Saturday, June 16th at Waldenbooks in the upper level of North Point Mall, Alpharetta, Georgia. Mrs. Wofford will be greeting guests at the front of the store and signing her novel from 2:00-4:00. They are located at 1132 North Point Circle, Alpharetta, 30022 and their phone number is 770-740-8341.

If the name Darlene Wofford rings a bell it may be because she and Carl, her husband of 40 years are both Atlanta natives, and along with sons Kenneth and Cory, have been Woodstock / Acworth residents for 35 years. She has been in the mortgage banking industry for 20 years and she co-hosted an hour-long Atlanta radio talk-show called "Your Inner Voice," which aired Saturday mornings 10-11:00 in 2006. She has also been interviewed on several Atlanta radio stations recently regarding her novel.
