Local Businesswoman Publishes Adirondack Children's Book
Denver, CO (PRWeb) March 29, 2007 -- The President of Under One Roof Video Store in Plattsburgh, New York has written a wonderful new children's book, Adirondack Halloween.
"The story has a very local flavor to the Adirondacks and North Country of New York," author and businesswoman Rebecca Leonard notes in reference to her first book. "The Adirondacks is the largest protected area in the United States' mainland. It's a beautiful place to live and is full of interesting history."
The story takes place in Indian Point, near Raquette Lake, in the heart of the Adirondacks. William Durant, the main character, experiences his first Halloween in this remote area and it turns into quite an adventure.
"Adirondack Halloween is appropriate for anyone to read and is geared for children of all ages, depending on their individual reading ability. I strongly feel it's vital for children to experience the riches of books at an early age because it opens up a whole new world to them.
